sony vegas pro 14 watermark not working

I sorted out a picture in picture no problem and I know the watermark uses the same process. Well I added a timeline added a photo for the water mark and it doesnt show up on the screen. Not only that that, the picture in picture has gone too.

I think do did not added a timeline but a track. If that is the case where did you add that track under, beyond or above your minimal two videotracks for the PIP
