Sony Vegas Pro 16 Weird audio glitch with mp3 files not with mp4 video

Hi, I get this really weird audio noise when i try and import audio into my videos.

I don't get the same issue with mp4 files that also have audio.

Wasn't realltsure how to describe it so I have this clip here of it doing it:

any help would be much appreciated!

Sounds perfect to me. 😊

I always encourage people to use WAV files if possible. MP3's can really vary because the standard is very loose. If you have another audio program or download the Audacity free audio editor and convert it to a WAV file. it should work fine. I don't have any explanation about why this happens, but others might.

I never had this issue on Vegas 13,14 or 15. Not sure why I now have it on 16.

If you have a problem with Sony Vegas Pro 16, perhaps you should contact Sony.
