Some of the things I noticed (and can remember) while editing my last HD project on SV9 on Vista 64 bit with 8 gig ram.
1. Sometimes while playing / stopping / playing from the timeline, it freezes up and a program close is necessary.
2. Sometimes while viewing events "clips" on the timeline the clip would only show as black on the internal and external monitors. After closing V and re-opening it all is fine.
3. Went to use Excalibur 6 and it wasn't there. It just vanished totally from Vegas toolbar and "View - Extensions" menus. I did a re-install of Excalibur and all was fine again.
4. Tried to "Render as" a MainConcept AVC/AAC mp4, and Vegas tells me no can do, I'm out of memory and should close programs. The only program running was Vegas. The Sony AVC mp4 "internet 16:9 HD 30p" worked fine though. Vegas 8 would render MC AVC MP4's just fine.
5. On about 50% of opening Vegas project it says it can't open two or more of my rendered mov Digital Juice stock videos. I deleted them, and made new ones in AVI format, now V sees them fine.
6. Now this one is so weird, it's hard to explain. A series of stacked track motions each a small window on the total video. Sometimes the wrong video from a different track would show through the wrong window at different points on the timeline. This took allot of my time, and unfortunately it was too long ago for me to remember how I fixed it.
Here is a link to some of my latest videos I've been experimenting with if your interested.
