Sony (VEGAS) ProType Titler, titles have "disappeared" in VP16!

I loaded a VP13 project into VP16 and my titles are invisible.
They don't show in the preview window (see image) and when I go into the clip, they appear to be missing. They are there though as you can see in the screenshot, the yellow circled "002" is my title.
I can select in the window where the title should be (with left click and drag), but I can't see anything. I have also circled the selection which is 3 characters long. This would not be the case if it were an empty title event.
Also the window is red, which I've never seen before, it should be black.
I'm guessing that that has something to do with it.
Also, very cleverly, I deleted VP13 when I installed VP16!

With me it is not that case you had.
When I make in VPro 13 all kidg of titles with different self made presets they all show normally when I open that VPro 13 test project in VPro 16, so something is wrong with your old(?) veg I think.

I downloaded the trial version of VP15 when it came out and the same project ran fine in that, so it's unlikely that VP13 was the culprit.
Adding a new VEGAS ProType Titler to the timeline works fine.
If I click on the event fx of one of my title media, this too has a red background as oppose to the normal black.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
