Sony Vegas Shortcuts

Hi,

I've compiled a list of shortcuts which might be of interest to some of you. It can be accessed on Edward Troxel's jetdv site at:-

http://www.jetdv.com/vegas/VegasShortcuts.pdf

The list shows the main shortcuts that can be used in Vegas using the keyboard, the mouse and the number keypad. None of them are new but I've listed them under the relevant editing processes as I think this makes for easier reference even if it means that some entries have had to be repeated. Incidentally, although it refers to Sony Vegas 6 in its heading, it applies equally to Vegas 8.

I have this as a Word Document of two pages which means that it can be printed back to back on A4 paper and kept handy for reference when working on a project (I've laminated mine to preserve it from wear and tear).

Every Best Wish,

Richard

I found something the other day I never noticed in the help files: right click on the FX icon on a clip & you can enable/disable/remove all FX at once. :)

I found a time saver in replacing the letter B shortcut (by default shows the Master track) for RAM preview. I use RAM preview a lot more than the master track, so I sent the master track to Shift+B and now I only need to press B to get a RAM preview, which is absolutely necessary if you're editing AVCHD, because playback in that format even on a quad core is not smooth all the time.
