Sony: Very simple feature request

You know when you put your mouse on the upper corner of a clip and you get the half moon. Well, you also get the box that shows the duration of the fade, wipe, etc.

Now here's the request. Give that little box with the duration numbers of a dissolve, etc. when we drag a clip over clip for a dissolve etc. This way we know the duration of the dissolve we are setting.

This has to be simple, you're already doing this on some things as stated above.

Thanks.

Unless I'm misunderstanding your question, we have that feature. Hold your mouse button over the part of the transition where the first clip ends, and you get the half moon and the length of the transition itself (it says "Fade Offset").

Am I misunderstanding you?

I think beerandchips means it would be nice to have the overlap duration displayed at the time of dragging the clips (rather than just being able to display it afterwards). I think so too.

That would be great if that could be done! I am constantly having to zoom out to see how long my dissolve is on the previous clip to determine how much I should overlap the current clip I'm placing on the timeline. A realtime "counter" would be killer.
