Sony sells a new line of editing computers called the rz series, which comes with a device called the GigaPocket, with this GigaPocket video card you are suppose to be able to output to an analog VCR as well as DV. This is the reason I bought my Sony computer, and was thinking that any project I do in "Vegas" which is a Sony product now would work with the Giga Pocket.
Of course I was wrong; Sony's GigaPocket says it will not recognize any video clips edited using other software, but its own really crappy software, meaning my projects done with Vegas can not be exported through the Giga Pocket toi my VCR because both Sony products are not compatable. I guess I could print to DV and then to the VCR but thats a waste of time and money, especially since my clients still want VHS copies.
Will Sony be having an update for this problem?
