SOT: Cineform, take a bow.

Just got this, I hope David will not mind me quoting part of it:

The bit-stream for CineForm RAW will soon contain an ANSI-C decoder source that is CPU and OS independent to help guarantee its longevity. This means if you can find one of these files 25 years after you have every heard of AVI, MOV, DNG or of course CineForm,

If only every vendor of new things in this game was so unselfishly forward thinking life could be a whole lot easier.

Bob.

No, I don't mind the quote. This is all in aide to make CineForm a defacto cross platform archive and ingest standard. For a small company you have to have new compelling ideas to make that happen.

Brilliant concept David. We used to have companies that felt that way. Definitely Sonic Foundry esque in concepts and attitudes. :)

That is totally A+ brilliant, addressing a problem of serious concern as product cycles become ever shorter and archives ever more valuable!

Kudos and applause!

Let's get the word out about this.
