Regular user of Content Browser that used to be Clipbrowser that's now supported by SCS.
I shot a concert with the NX30 NXCAM camera recording to the camera's internal memory. Got home made backups of everything from the internal flash memory. As expected the video is split over multiple 2MB files.
So I thought lets see how well Content Browser can handle joining them together. Well it correctly sees all the files as being only two clips, so feeling optimist I tell it to Export the first clip.
After a lot of whirring of disks I find all it's done is created the same set of 2MB AVCHD files which of course Vegas, all versions, cannot handle correctly without creating another copy of the same content that's probably in a format unreadable by any other NLE.
It would be nice if the Content Browser could do more with the NXCAM media e.g. transcode to XDCAM 4:2:2 as well as join the files into a single NXCAM file. I don't expect anyone here can help much with this, it's just odd that SCS haven't seen fit to have a support forum for this product.
On the upside the latest update for the Content Browser is looking very good and has features that some of us have been asking for in Vegas e.g. Print Clip Information and Acquisition Metadata Display....Live. Lovely stuff.
