Sound card advice, please

I'd like to replace my SB Audigy card with a better one that also has MIDI on it. Does anyone have any advice or insight on this?

I bought the soundblaster x-fi elite pro.... great sound card.... the software does tend to be a little touchy at times though.

What ever you do, make sure the next soundcard is ASIO certified... this is becoming more and more important.

If you want one of the most reliable and semi-pro audio cards at the consumer level I would use a M-Audio Product.
The only Creative Labs that sound any good to me are the pretty old ones.
