What are we all using for sound cards these days?
I do a lot of 5.1 and 7.1 work and I have been relying mostly on the high end sound creative blaster cards but the one I have accidentally got wet (spilled a cup of coffee on it while it was powered) so I was just wondering what else was out there before I opt for another SB.
It has to do 5.1/7.1 It has to flow well withe Vegas, Pro tools, and Adobe Audition... preferably ASIO (only because that's what I'm used to... but if there is a better driver....).
I think I want internal as external sometimes doesn't work with varied software... PCIe.
M-audio is out. Avid is so outdated with their stuff now. They're still running PCI and I can't remember the last time I saw a PCI slot on a mobo.
What else is out there that won't break the bank?
