Just don't worry about the preview... do it and if you don't like it then undo it...

There's a pretty good set of instructions that come with NR2.
Have you tried following them?
If so where is it going wrong or what's not working?

Just trying to avoid typing out the several pages from the manual.

Yep tried following ion instructions. Can't for the life of me find the 'Real-Time Check Box, and therefore can't click below it :(

OK,
so I guess you've taken the noise sample. One trcikwith that bit is to use a REALLY small sample. Doing that minimises the rsik of picking up anything other than the noise. For example you may pcikup room resonances which will really screw with what you want to preserve.

The Real Time check box is under "OK", "CANCEL", etc on the RH side of the window. Right click ANYWHERE in that area and select "Select All Data", then you can hit preview to listen to how it is affecting the overall sound.

Hope this helps.

Are you on ICQ or Messenger and would have the time to help me?

As I said above, I might be in totally the wrong place, as I can only access NR via a plug in chainer. The 'Choose Sony NR from directX menu I can't find.
