Magix has released Sound Forge Pro 12 and Suite (includes new Spectralayers 5).

Upgrade price is $199 US for SFP12, new $399. Too rich for my blood.

Anyone tried it with Vegas yet?

Glad they are still developing it. Been using Sound Forge since the early days when I first switched over to digital after editing reel to reel. Always loved the programs ability to navigate the timeline. Surprised at how clunky other audio programs still are when moving around a waveform. That's the one main feature that has kept me still using Vegas and Sound Forge—fluid navigation of the timeline using the mouse wheel and shift/ctrl modifier keys. Best kept secret ever... crazy that no other have programs have adopted these features.

Downloaded trial of the Suite. Haven't tried to figure how well it integrates with Vegas Pro 15, but for a standalone suite of program/plug-ins, it is very nice. Things I used in SP11 are enhanced by 64-bit architecture and VST3 coding, where applicable. The Suite's included iZotope offerings are good, and some of the other add-on material may be as well. I don't understand SpectraLayers yet, so no comment on that part for now.
I will continue to experiment with SP12Suite, but I am leaning towards the $299 upgrade for it.
