Sound glitch problem

My audio track gets brief glitchy noises wherever these light blue triangles with green lines coming down from them appear on it... Whats the problem?

Another problem I have is when I'm moving clips around, it seems to set these invisible limits so it adjusts my clip while I'm moving it. I'd like to be able to move them pixel by pixel (er, frame by frame? sorry)...

Ok, I see now that it happens whereever I do splitting or deleting. What can I do to fix the sound glitches?

Vegas should be adding automatic fades where your splits occur. Are the glitches these fades, or are they actual errors in the sound?
Go to Options/Preferences/Editing, and see what your fades are set to .By default, the Quick Fade length should be set to 10 ms.

Oh...I don't want it to fade the sound every time I split it. Thanks, I'll try your advice.

EDIT: I don't know if the glitches are the fades or not...I tried putting the Quick Fade Length to 1 but the brief hiccups still can be heard..

Try "Zooming in" on the timeline and make sure that each clip is properly lined up. Sometimes it's off by an electron or two. You want the main edges to come together, but if you look very closely, they very slightly overlap in the middle.

(Electron? O_o) Ok, thanks, I'll try that
