Did a search and didn't find what I was looking for.
New Vegas user. Using Studio Platinum 9.
I've got a piece of video that I've captured from my camera. Stupidly I didn't have the microphone turned on so there was no sound recorded with the video. I've copied another piece of sound from another video and dropped it into the clip with no sound. The video is sitting in Video Overlay (Track 3), I've also tried it in Video (Track 2). The audio track that accompanies the video is sitting in the Front (Track 4) slot. The audio from another clip that I dropped in is sitting in Center (Track 5).
When I preview the video in Vegas I get the sound from the dropped in audio clip coming through. When I save or render the clip; however, and play it in Windows Media Player, the sound is gone. I've rendered the clip as an AVI file.
I've looked in the Help documents that come with Vegas and couldn't find a solution.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to delete the audio track that is coupled to the video track and slot the dropped in audio in its place but I can't see how that can be done either. Failing that, what am I missing that the dropped in audio isn't coming through on the rendered clip?
