sound quality

when i'm previewing the video, the sound is very choppy. if no video or pics are showing it is ok. the sound track when played outside the program is fine.

when i burn to dvd, will it still be choppy? is this just because i'm previewing?

This is probably because your pc can't keep up, in which case the rendered video will be ok. You can test this by selecting and rendering a few seconds of video and see how it plays in media player or whatever. The usual advice is to kill off any unnecessary processes that are wasting processing power.
