sound sync on rendering

I am trying to render a movie that I captured from a DV Camera. I have previewed the clips in VF (1.0 build 21) and the sound is in sync. When I try to render to a divx format AVI file the sound gets progressively more out of sync.

Does anyone know why when I use these settings for rendering:

Best video quality, no motion blur, no frame rate resample
frame size = ntsc DV, frame rate = 29.97, field order = lower field first, pixel aspect ration = 0.909, vidoe format = divx, no interleave.

Keyframe every 5 seconds,compression = 100 data rate = 1250, and audio layer mp3 at 128kbs.

Thanks.

Are you trying to output this back to the DV camera? If so, use the UNMODIFIED NTSC DV template and forget divx.

Otherwise, try one of the WMV templates- fast renders, smallish files, nice quality.

If you really need Divx for some reason perhaps another forum member can chime in...

No, I am trying to render to the hard drive with the goal of moving it to a CD, I recorded a 1 hour movie on my camcorder, and then downloaded it to my computer.

My goal is simply to tranfer that movie to the cd, using the best rendering mechanism to give quality graphics and audio that is in sync.

I'll take a look at the wmv render to see if it will compress sufficiently for cd and also have good characteristics.
