Soundforge 10 now crashing PC when in loop mode

Hi all,

I've been having a really weird issue today that I've never ever seen before with SF. When playing a file in a loop, it twice crashed my PC, the first time Windows took a long time writing some registry file during the blue screen before restarting, the second time it was faster. Also, for some time now, I can't start SF if I'm not in admin mode. This happened out of the blue.
Anyone else seen this happen?

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, 8GB GDDR6, HDMI, DP, studio drivers
ASUS PRIME B550M-K, AMD B550, AM4, mATX
7.1 (8-chanel) Surround-Sound, Digital Audio, onboard
Samsung 970 EVO Plus 250GB, NVMe M.2 PCIe x4 SSD
be quiet! System Power 9 700W CM, 80+ Bronze, modular

2x Samsung 2TB SSD

This should have been posted on the MAGIX Sound Forge forum.

That said, this sounds like the 'elevated privilege' issue which is common w/ SF Pro 10 on a Win 10 PC and requires a registry tweak. Unfortunately it usually needs to be done after every other Win 10 update. I have had to do this 4 or 5 times since I upgraded to Win 10 in 2017. The good news is, after you have done it once it is easier subsequent times. I do not recall though the 'elevated privilege' issue affecting the loop function.. but I suppose it is possible. A link to the Sound Forge forum elevated privilege thread.

Thanks rraud, I had looked for a SF forum but didn't find it. I'll try your suggestions.

Thanks again.
