I would love to get sound forge 8 and Noise Reduction as a download. Videoguys has a good price on it as a bundle but they are only selling it as a shipped cd. Anyone have any info on how I can do this?
Can you download a trial of those from the Sony site (usually lasts at least 15 days)... Order the product from Videoguys... enter the serial number when they arrive.
Thanks for the reply - It's the waiting I'm trying to avoid - I was hoping to use em' in the next hour or so. I'm assuming that the 15 day demo's are crippled in some way? - beeps pops crackles or you can't use the Wave Hammer?
If I'm wrong this will work great! - are those two demos fully functional for 15 days?
Oh - think I answered my own question...from the download site:
"Sound Forge® 8
Please Note: This trial version will allow you to use all product features for 30 days, except for export to certain formats that require third-party licensing (i.e. MPEG and MP3)."
Should work fine for me - Thanks a ton Liam Vegas! - downloading and ordering right now!
I do not believe that the Noise Reduction plugin will actually allow to apply the effect to the audio clips. You can preview them, but I don't think you can apply it.
I did the demo the other day, then bought it.
I am pretty sure that once I purchased it, *then* the ability to make the noise reduction permanent in the file was available.
That is why I could not test it with multi-pass noise reduction.
That's not how I remember.... but I could be wrong. I initially used the trial in order to verify it would make a difference to my project. I then purchased a soundforge/NR bundle from another supplier.
