Am I missing something here. All of a sudden my spacebar does not play video or audio on the timeline. I just installed the upgrade. Something there, or what? Thanks.

Hmmm, not sure. Have you first clicked in the timeline window to make sure that it has the active focus? If some other window has the focus, the spacebar will not initiate playing.

I never use the spacebar for play so I just checked mine and it works fine -- F12 too.
I checked for an Internal preferences and there is one (search under SPACE)...It's called "Make spacebar and F12 Play/Pause" -- what's strange is that my setting said FALSE with the default being FALSE. A False setting leads me to believe that it would not work. That the spacebar or F12 would have no effect. But they do work. So I changed the setting to TRUE -- and guess what ? -- They still work. No change. This is not right -- Why have an internal setting act the same TRUE or FALSE. Anyone understand this (besides understanding it as a bug)...
The default behavior for the space bar is Play/Stop. This means when you use it to stop the cursor jumps back to where it was when you started playing. Setting it o true for Play/Pause makes the cursor stop where it is instead of going back to where it started.
I usually leave it set to Play/Stop because the Enter key does Play/Pause. It's nice to have both options available, and having both do the same thing seems like a waste of a good key.

Thanks Chienworks .. I get it now. The FALSE meant that PLAY/PAUSE would not work, and TRUE meant that it would . Logical. I missed the PAUSE behavior. This is generally the case with software. The operator misses something and immediately blames the program. Thanks again!
