Hi Guys, does any one know how to do a sparkle in the eye effect. You now, like in the tooth past commercials but they to the teeth. I’ve seen a post on this a while back but I can't remember where and my searches have come up empty.
Thanks for your help.
Search for tooth sparkle and spell it right. You can't miss.
Anyway, I think an eye sparkle need to be very subtle, so it won't look like a disease or something.
(I have Glaucom, the symptoms of which (untreated) looks like too much soft focus (read: Vaseline on your lens).

I asked for this last August, and since then about three other people have asked similar questions. I still haven't seen an effect that does quite what I wanted. However, the lens flare does give the correct "star" quality, if you can figure out how to place and control it (which I was never able to do). I think if you are good with masks, you could probably do it with 2-3 tracks -- one with a mask; one with your picture/video, and one with a duplicate of your picture/media with the lens effect. You would then need to mask out the portion of the lens effect (the other "flares") that you don't want to appear.
Again, I'm "dry-labbing" this, after having failed to it back in August (due to time constraints), but I'm pretty sure it would work, and give better results.
Spidy, a suggestion we made earlier in another thread is that you may not want to try to incorporate that .veg file into your project, but rather after getting the look you want, render it to a DV .avi file. You can then add this file on an overlay track in your project and set the compositing mode to additive. This will make it much easier to position the sparkle exactly where you want it with track motion, resize it, fade it in and out, etc.
