Thanks, Chien. I dunno, I feel as though I scoured the forums for this info without result. I wonder why Sony doesn't make the best offer available to owners of previous version licenses more apparent. I would think that this offer should have shown up for me as a reslult of clicking the "search for upgrades" link in the "Software" section of their website.

I have not been on the forums for a while which is why I was unaware of the new version. Why I did not receive an email notification is anyone's guess, so, I cannot fault Sony.

Why the make the best upgrade offer so hard to find is beyond me.

Gosh, I feel like such a boob!!
I downloaded V7, installed it, never received the email confirmation and serial number, although, the serial number appeared in my online Sony "My Account" list of registered software, so, I was able to install and open V7.

Now, I'm trying to install Boris which asks for my serial number. The Vegas 7 serial will not "light up" the "next" button to continue the installation of Boris, so, I must be doing something wrong (again!!).

Help is appreciated.

I eventually got my email upgrade offer about a week ago.

Hmmm. I did get my order confirmation for the upgrade and it contains serial numbers for both Vegas 7 and DVDA 4, but nothing for Boris. I've been too busy to worry about it, but sometime this coming week i'll give customer service a call and see what's up. I'll let you know what i find out.

Interestingly, V7 installed per the prompts. When I went to install DVDA4, I found that it was already installed.

Nothing on Boris thust far.

Use your old Boris # from V6, it is the same version, from what I understand.

Where do I find that SN. Version 3 is up, running, should be registered as I downloaded it when I purchased V6/DVDA3. I checked the opening splash screen, the "About" menu. No luck so far.

The email order confirmation contained all my serial numbers: V7, DVDA4 and Boris

No email confirmation for me, yet. I see the V7 serial under my software on the Sony Media Software site, and, really strange, DVDA4 installed itself - I didn't even notice. Boris is another story, however.

I'll wait and see if I get the email from Sony.
