special FX, skeleton

Of course I am not a long time VV3 user, but I already have an impression about the software that it supports all kind of special FX. I have to shot a story that a skeleton turns in to human being and talks, (very old sub!!) what I planned to do is, I want to use the same person who will ba acting as human being in place of skeleton, but how can I make that person's body with software special FX to a skeleton. Sometimes I saw in the tv comercial that thy use this type of fx,
could I do this with VV3 FX? or can I use anyother plagin's that works with VV3?

I think that something like that would have to be done in a 3D rendering program and added to the project as a separate clip. The program has no way of knowing which part of the picture is actually a person, so a plug-in that could replace a person with a skeleton that is the exact same size and moving its mouth at the right time is nearly (if not completely) impossible.

impossible? why? someone just needs to write good enough software. this one doesn't even approach the realm of impossibility (especially if the camera stays still!) but essentially you are right... it's impossible because no one has written such software *yet*.

You bring up an interesting point, cheese. The easiest effects are the ones where the camera is "locked down" and not moving. In this case, a mask or crossfade between the skeleton and talking head would pull off the effect.
