I meant to do this with VV3 but never got around to it. I just want to thank SoFo especially for these new features...

Wider, user-defined scrub range
now I can fly through a project and slow down at certain spots. very useful.

New, more powerful keyboard-based event trimming
I always appreciate better keyboard support. these new keys are very easy to use.

Display of media markers and regions in events
thank you! I will use this feature extensively. people give me asf files full of markers all the time and now I can easily utilize them on the timeline. this also gives us a way to 'stick' markers to events.

Split-screen effect bypass and clipboard previews
never would have thought of this. it's so cool to be able to draw bypass regions right on the video while it is playing.

Copy-and-paste support for event attributes
very welcome addition.

Event shuffling
I've wanted to do this but never thought it would be added as a feature! it's nice to not have to mess up the timeline when swapping events.

Video scopes
I really like the way these look. the performance is great. I was hoping for an expansion of the histogram function and this is exactly what I wanted and more.

Color Corrector and Secondary Color Corrector plug-ins
another very welcome addition. this tool makes color correction very intuitive. combined with the vector scope, we can make very sophisticated corrections fast! the secondary color corrector is much more exciting than it sounds. great controls and functionality. saves hours of work.

If you've prerendered your project, Vegas can use those prerendered sections in your final render when the destination formats match.
Another great time saver. this is what we want from our computers, for them to act efficiently and do work for us.

Support for Visual Basic and JScript scripting
I can only begin to imagine what this will mean. the region batch exporter script will save our business many hours of time and frustration. I know how to code, so I'll be writing my own scripts too. exporting event data to the clip board will be my first goal, but the possibilities are endless.

one more: Ctrl+F12 to pause playback from any window
yes! this window focus problem has now been solved.

I'm sure I'll discover more but those are the features that really meant something to me. THANK YOU!!! you'll have at least one happy upgrader.
