I know I ask this I think last year but I seem to have prablems with it.

I have movie studio 8.0 and I am trying to slowdown the speed of a video.

I have a lot of little video clips so I go to the first one and Right click it and pick Select Event To End.

Then after this I go to the menu bar and pick Edit.
Then pick Group as New.

So everything is selected and Grouped as one.

So now I hold down the CTRL key and put the mouse over the end clip to drag it to the left.

Anbd it start to work then it just moves the last clip to say the middle of all the clips.

I know I am missing something thanks

Well, for one thing, you need to drag it to the right to slow it down. Dragging left would speed it up.

Make sure you are Ctrl-dragging on the right edge of the event. This extends it. If the mouse pointer is inside the event rather than on the edge you'll end up moving it.

soory I ment to say I drag it to the Left.

It does not work I think maybe because I have so many little video clips.
What I did now is I have a the little video clips in the timeline and Randered As .avi Uncompressed.
So I can use this as onee big video and try to slow it down I think this may work.

But one thing if I have two video clips back to back in the timeline how do I group them so they become pone??

I thought you Right click the first one and pick Select To nd.

Then go to Edit Group then pick Group as New??

You said "Left" again. Do you really mean right? What you've described is something that would happen if you went left instead of right.

Usually to make the group i click on the first event, then shift click on the last event, then press G. But, what you've described should work too.

And please verify that you're trying to drag the edge of the event, not the middle of it.

Ok I have been trying to Group all my little video clips as one but it does not seem to work.

So I just Load them all in the Timeline back to back then Rander As .avi Un Compressed and then I can just import the whole .avi as one Clip.

Then when I Drag from the end of the clip to the Left it speed the clip up.

It all works thanks for all the help

When Chienworks says "to the Right" he means this way ----->
When you say "To the Left" that means this way <------
Sorry if your understanding of English is a problem here.

If you Ctrl+Drag the leading edge of your clips to the RIGHT, they will slow down.
That is what you said you want to do. Does this make any sense?
