I'm working on a video project. I have video clips (RealOne) that go from 1-5 minutes each. Here are a couple of problems I have when using vegas 4.0
1) I notice that when I place longer clips there are black spots on the real video.However, the source clip doesn't have such black spots.
2) The resolution of the video isn't that good. The pictures look like they all were bitmaps. I have used a handycam with microcassette to record the video. In vegas, I set up the project with the following properties a) Template NTSC DV at 29.970 fps b) (720x480) videscreen c) pixel ratio 0.909.
Please suggest ways to correct the black portions of the clips and how to improve the quality of the video.
