Split and Re-Render for Deshaker

I searched through the archives and can't find an exact thread on what I neeed.

I shot a bunch of aerial HDV footage and ConnectHD sucks at scene detection so many files are long 20+ minute AVI files.

I would like to build my project in Vegas with graphics, music etc., splitting the video scenes as necessary in the time-line for re-ordering.

When I have the project done, is there a way that I can save or export the split up clips so that I can run each (smaller clip) through Deshaker? Deshaker needs to be tweaked for individual scenes and just running Deshaker on my 20 minute clip does not allow me the control that I need.

I tried the "copy and trim media" upon save and it just copies the entire 20 minute clip and not my smaller scenes trimmed from that clip. Vegas 6.0c.

Thanks,
Duncan

Render each of your clips as a seperate file in Vegas. You can then run them individually through VDub DeShaker and rename them again. I usually just use the original clip name + "deshook." Darryl

Would you suggest using the Cineform intermediate AVI for least degredation on multiple renders?

You have to use the Cineform Intermediary codec. Virtuadub won't work with M2T files. This means you have to buy ConnectHD.

I already own and use ConnectHD. Thank you for the replies.
