Split Screen

cheers,

first i have to say that my english is very rusty - so be merciful with me ;)

like the topic name says - i want to split my video in 2 areas (right and left with the same attributes.
i deform the track with the "deform" video FX but i cant move it to the right or left side :(

is this posssible and how i can do this?

You could use pan/crop to only show the portion of your vido that you want and use 2 tracks: 1 for the left side and 1 for the right. You could also use track motion with parent/child relationships if you would like.

...or bezier mask (cut straight) to choose the portion of both sides you want to show and have the possibility to "follow" subjects in their respective frames if they move a lot ...

Or use track motion on each track to adjust size/position of the entire video track.

Did you plan this scene when you recorded each half by having the talent on one side?

Create an empty video track. Place the other segments on tracks below it.
Make these tracks children of the blank track. Add deform to your blank top
track.
