Split screen composite

Is there a way I can make VV 3.0 have a line through the center of the screen with the same video clip playing on both sides of the line? I'm not sure what the technical term is for this...composite? Kind of like a double vision thing. The reason is, I have some portions of a piece I'm putting together that have people towards the outside edge of the video that I don't want to see. When I zoom in enough so that they're gone, the picture quality suffers too much. So, I thought if I could somehow take the center of the video and split it so that the two clips (same clip) play next to each other, therefore cutting out the outside edges.

I also own After Affects 4.0 if I have to use that, but I'm much more of an After Affects owner than a user! HAHA Thanks.

Thanks again GG. I'll try it tomorrow. I'm also going to try messing with the cookie cutter affect. I've been capturing for hours and I'm getting cross-eyed! Yes, I fixed my capture problem I was having earlier. I had saved my 2.0h capture program from Vegas 2 (since it took me so long to get it to work) and then installed Vegas 3 and they were conflicting. I un-installed everything and put VV3 back in and it works fine now...although one of my video drives has gone bad again. Stinking IBM's! HAHA I think I've reformatted this thing 3 times in a year. I guess I'll try a Seagate drive next. Thanks again for your reply. Derek
