Is there a way to split a video event without also splitting it's audio? Or vice versa, to split an audio event without also splitting the video? Thanks, Karl
I assume you've imported a media file created outside of Screenblaster. If so,Screenblaster imports the two tracks as a group. You can decouple the audio and video by selecting either track, right clicking, and selecting Group/Clear. Now each track is independent and you can edit one without affecting the other. Hopefully, I understiood your question.
Alternatively, if you're already using groups, you can toggle "Ignore event grouping" - you'll still split all the tracks though. Is that a problem? - you can leave the audio in place and the split's inaudible.

You don't need to ungroup - audio and video are deleted separately. The work flow is split the event, delete audio or video, (optionaly) group the remaining audio or video.
If you select a clip and then right click, you'll get a popup menu. Select "switches", and then "Lock Audio". You'll then be able to split the video and leave the audio intact.
