Splitting movie and soundtrack together

Hi

I'm VERY new to video editing and have used OTHER editing tools. I have found VEGAS to be very stable. Just one question. When splitting frames is there any way to do the audio track with the frames? The video I am editing has 2 speakers and I don't know how to line the speakers up with their own voices!

Thanks for any help in this regard

Luke

I'm not sure if i'm following you properly. You talk about editing the audio WITH the video, but it sounds like what you want to do is edit them separately. Since the default behavior is to edit them together, i'll guess you want the opposite. If you click on a clip and press U it will Ungroup them. You can then slide the audio around independantly of the video, trim them separately, etc. After you're done you can select both again and press G to reGroup them.

Ok! I found the problem. The "ignore events grouping" button was "on"!! Works like a charm now and 2 days to figure it out!! Thanks for the help.
