Splitting Stereo Audio tracks??

I recently did a location job in which I recorded separate mikes on each track (standard Stereo DV setup).
I recorded Ambient on-camera mike on left track, and wired interview mike on right track.
I'd like to split the tracks and only use the wired mike side, since it is much clearer sound. I can see the better quality, but can't figure out how to split the stereo tracks into separate mono tracks.
Any suggestions?

Right-mouse-button click on the audio clip, click Channels, and choose which channel you want. If you want to have separate mono tracks for the two channels, then add the clip again to another audio track and choose the other channel.
