Sony Hands On Classroom at DV Expo

Spot: A couple of questions about the Sony sessions at DV Expo West:

1. Are you the teacher at this years DV Expo West?
2. Will this be hands on a la NAB or a demo like last years DV Expo West?
3. Looks like we have to register for classes. Is there a limit on attendees and do you expect any problems getting signed up?

This all very important to me this year since I am trying to get my daughter, the budding Vegas editor, to attend some of the sessions.

I'm teaching a half-day intensive on audio for video, like the side sessions I taught last year. Then I'll have appearances in the Sony booth along with some other VASST guys

This year Sony is trying something new in the booth itself, with laptops throughout the booth. More like NAB last year.

That, I can't comment on. Number of people that can play at once is limited by the number of laptops. But I don't expect it to be too far over the top. Should that happen, there will also be other kiosk machines around, so I'll be happy to take a few minutes on the side to spend with you should you want that.

Thanks for the quick response. Nice to see Sony upping the ante in the NLE wars. Putting the class out on the floor is a very good move IMHO.
