Spots in video preview & render?

I captured a video into Vegas. When I preview it on the timeline (within vegas
preview window) At some points in the video I get a few frames of spots?

When I preview it on the external monitor the spots are gone? When I render
it to Windows Media player the spots are in the rendered video?

I know the spots are NOT on the original, I can even play the original footage
using Windows Media Player and the spots are NOT there? It seems to be
Vegas? Anything I should be adjusting?

Did a test, I installed Vegas 4.0 (I think I forgot to mention the problem is with 5.0) and the spots are gone?

SOOOOOOO it MUST be Vegas 5.0 that is giving me the spots???

Please help!
