Once upon a time, if you wanted to make changes to a project you've already prepared -- for example, add another piece of media or even make a minor change to a menu design -- DVD Architect would have to prepare the entire project all over again before you could burn the revised project.

These days, DVDA "remembers" each prepare by way of an SPSS file so if you change the project in anyway, DVDA only has to re-prepare the parts of the project you changed.

Far as I can recall, DVDA skips this file when it burns the DVD. You can safely delete it if you don't think you'll need it.

I'm figuring on using Nero to burn the master..just wanted to kbow if it was relevant to that step.
Anyone know if Nero burns with attached files are "compliant"?

Anything you add as an attached file should be in a folder on the DVD, not in the root directory. About the only exception to this would be an autorun file. Typically the folder is named Extras, though it's not a required name. Place your .pdf file in that directory. Don't include any files that DVDA sticks in the root directory.

My version of Nero has huge hissyfits if i try to include any files in the root directory. if i force it to anyway, two of my three settop DVD players gag and spit the disk out like it was a rotten cucumber. The third one won't spit the disc out, but often neither will it play it. It'll just sit there seeking for compliant content forever, never finding it.

I think what Rich is wondering about is compatibility issues when the "mixed media" disc is sent to a replication facility, as per this thread.
