Wow...Last night, I unpacked a new machine we bought for a training system, it's an AMD X2 4400.
For giggles, I chose to render a film I've been working on, usually takes 11 hours, give or take 5 mins on a dual 3.4GHz Pentium. It's a 118 minute film.

Long story short, this single processor, dual core system rendered the film in 5:13:00. Super inexpensive machine, if you want to know the builder, drop me a private mail so that this isn't seen as a solicitation. (cost less than 2500.00 with everything but monitor) I was simply blown away that my dual Pentium workhorse was so far different than this X2. I figured I'd shave off an hour at best.
