I've used DVD-A for many years. The newest version presented several stability issues when moving between design elements. Specifically, when I created a chapter menu I got several, fatal errors. To create that element, I placed the main content, which was created in Vegas 14 was rendered using the SONY AVC codec, on the "root" of the design tree. Then I right clicked the media object and selected "create chapter menu" from the choices. That all happened without an issue. I then clicked on the landing page for the chapter menu. I made design changes. I included an object so that a user could navigate back to the main menu by inserting a "previous" arrow. When I double-clicked that arrow the program aborted. I re-opened the program and tried to get to the sub menu by clicking on the icon from the main menu page. The program aborted. I re-opened the program. I then tried to navigate to the chapter menu page by clicking on the "tree" and that worked. But anytime I tried to navigate to and from the chapter menu using an icon the program aborted. I checked it in preview and it navigated properly, but when I was in design mode the program aborted. The software did generate a report and I clicked on the boxes to send additional details. I read those details and a clue was not apparent. Incidentally, I decided to take all of the design elements into the previous version of DVD-A and build the exact same disc just to see what would happen and it worked without issue.
