stabilization stopped working

version 15 platinum/ win 10. I had used stabilization on some clips and it worked fine, now when I try to run clips, the apply button in Video Event FX box remains greyed out and slide toggles also are inoperative. However all other video FX work fine in the various clips I've tried. I also reinstalled the Movie Studio 15 thinking a link was corrupted in the installation, with the same end result. I have no clue why it just went belly up.

I'm confused as to exactly what your problem is.

But Stabilization is applied as a Media FX not as a Event FX. So you need to look at the clips Media FX, not Event FX.

And because an event has not always ( with me never) the same size as the mediaclip ,mostly it it wise to make first a so called "subclip" and that becomes automatic than also a media clip of which the needed time and the pecision for stabilizing are better than of the whole former mediaclip.
