Hello everyone
If you need more Input or outputs, you can save your self a
little money by buying a Lightpipe,TDIF or S/PDIF
converter. You can use use the other banks on your 2408 to
get 8ea analog I/O and save about $150-200 over buy another
2408 core or 2408 I/O. Alesis has out the A3 converter and
Tascam also has out one for TDIF to analog called IFDA8 but
with the TDIF stuff remember you have to use word clock out
to word clock in on the converter. Midiman also has the
Pipelin 8X8. Shop around I've seen some good prices in
Sweetwater,Musicans Friend and a few others.Im posting this
because I'd hate to see anyone go out like I did when the
2408 first came out.I bought all core systems to get the
I/O that I needed.I hope this helps the guy's looking for
more I/Os you can do the same if you have a card with
S/PDIF I/O and convert them to analog too.
Take Care, George Ware
