stand alone upconvertors?

With all these new inexpensive upconverting DVD players I'm wondering, can you buy just the upconvertor alone? I'd love to uprez the previews coming out of my Canopus ADVC-100. The LCD widescreen TV I'm using for preview already does HD resolutions.

Does your LCD have HDMI, DVI, or VGA inputs?

You could use the preview on second monitor feature of Vegas. Granted, you'd need a display card that outputs at the right resolution.
