Standalone chapters from single movie

Someone asked this in my local User Group:

Hi, I am trying to create chapters in DVD architect from the original
movie. I am able to setup a seperate menu and add chapters to it.
However, once I play the chapter, its dosent stop at the end of the
chapter. It continues to play the whole dvd. How do I setup so that at
the end of each chapter, it goes back to the menu screen?
Thank for your help
S.K

The only way I know is to use seperate clips..

Suggestions?

Chapters are supposed to work just like a scene selection menu in a commercial movie, but this comes up so frequently it really out to be a settable option in DVDA. Anyway.....

You bring the movie into the project as many times as you have chapters, then you set the in/out points of each instance of the movie to correspond to that start/end of the chapter. I'd suggest dragging the clip from the explorer pane right into the project overview and then rename each instance as you drop so that it's easy to keep track of them. Double click on the instance after renaming and then set the in/out points on the timeline.

DVDA is smart enough to only put the movie on the DVD a single time.

Alternatively, render each chapter as it's own clip.
