Starwars scrolling text - 3d plug-in

Galeng wrote on 12/19/2003, 11:32 AM
Hi,

I am going over one of the tutorials to create the Starwars style scrolling text. I created the scrolling text on a transparent background and applied the 3d plug-in to the clip. When I use the rotate button to change the angle to the text, it only affects the right half of the screen. Anly text on the left side of the screen remains as is.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the plug-in and deleted and recreated the text in the media generator, but with the same results.

I am sure I must be missing something simple. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Galen

Have you got Split Screen Preview enabled?

DaveT2 has it right. Above the preview screen is a button with a circle - the left half is gray and the right half is white. Turn this OFF.

Yup....Jetdv has it right that DaveT2 has it right. It sounds like your preview window is split.

Probably the Pluginpac 3D LE from DebugMode.com?

Randy,

It is the plug-in Liam_Vegas mentioned. Very easy to use. Free download. It sure is nice to have experts out there developing plug-ins and tutorials, etc for us novice users to take advantage of.

Hi,

I have the plug-in and I can't get it to look good for the Star Wars scroll. Anyone get this looking good? can they send me a VEG sample or the specs?

Thanks

One of my other wishes for Vegas: Free Transform on Trackmotion and Pan/Crop, much like Photoshop.
