Static sounds not in original audio but showing up after

I am running Vegas Pro 18 on Windows 10 via Bootcamp. I am using the most fully loaded MacBook Pro 16 with 1TB. The Windows partition I created has 600 GB of space. My audio files work perfectly fine on their own. I have no audio issues with anything else on the Windows side or the Mac OS side. The video actually works better for me on this computer. It's faster, and clearer. When I put my audio file into Vegas, though, it plays perfectly fine on the first play. On every subsequent play, there is a loud static sound that happens intermittently. It sounds exactly like old analog TV's would sound when they had static. Any help suggestions?
