just wondering what information is sent to stats.sonicfoundry.com when vegas is launched. if it's only for the purpose of collecting the version number for update notification, cool, i'll undelete the line 'stats.sonicfoundry.com localhost' in my 'c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts' file :)

Go to Options - Properties and UNCHECK the box beside:

Use Net Notify to stay informed about Sonic Foundry products.
