SteadyMove available?

Adobe has a plug-in called SteadyMove which a friend tells me works well to stabilize a video where the camera has movement or shake. Apparently you can pick a stationary object in the clip, and it automatically keeps that object in the same location while panning each frame to do it. You would lose the edges, but it would be worth it. Is there anything like it for Vegas Movie Studio, or do you know if the Adobe SteadyMove plug-in ($99) would work with MS? I have lot of telephoto footage with movement from being shot from Zodiacks and Tundra Buggies, and they need help.

I use a product called Steadyhand. Check out their demos at www.dynapel.com They have some "before-and-afters" running side by side. This may or may not be what you are looking for, but I thought it worthy of mention anyhow.

I don't know of any VMS plugins that'll do that.

A free alternative to Steadyhand is Deshaker, a Virtualdub plugin. The results can be very good, but you need to follow the instructions to get the hang of it, and you'll probably need to experiment too.

It's too bad VMS doesn't have a stabilization effect.

I'd say that's one of the few things that Pinnacle Studio has a leg up on VMS.

Feature request!!
