Stereoscopic 3D effect not working

Hi, I'm having an issue with my Vegas pro 17 edit. I'm working on a 3D project, and have merged two clips into stereoscopic 3D, my project settings are set to 3D red/cyan. When I go to the FX tab, and add the Stereoscopic 3D effect to adjust my red/cyan channels, it doesn't seem to be working. When I adjust any of the dials nothing happens on my preview window. I had imported a project when I was just using the trial version of this software and this effect worked just fine. I'm not sure why it is not working now that I have purchased the software.

I don't know if this helps, but before, when the effect was working, my file formats were MVC. This current project my files are MP4

Thanks

If there are separate clips for the left and right, they must first be paired as a stereoscopic 3D subclip.

In Vegas Pro build 353 and 387 MVC files could not be imported as s3D. This problem is solved with the current build 421, it seems.
