Still Have Problems Rendering w/ VV

If anyone has any direction for me, it would be appreciated. I am still not able to render a project with VV while using my NVIDIA graphics card. I am using the drivers from NVIDIA's own website.

What I experience is within the first 5 minutes of rendering the computer will do one of two things. I will experience VV error, or the computer will automatically reset itself.

I have found by putting in an old graphics card, probably 6 years old, everything works just fine. The projects render perfectly.

Any suggestions or thoughts to what may be causing this hangup in rendering?

When I updated my Nvidia drivers to the latest version available at their website(like everyone keeps telling you to do when they're not sure what your problem is) it caused many problems on my system which all went away when I switched back to the older driver.
What OS are you using? If it's not XP then those latest drivers may not be the best thing. That was my experience.

I am currently using XP for my operating system. This huge puzzle for me, I have not been able to establish any ryhm or reason to the errors, accept around the video card.
