what render template are you using in Vegas 7?

I'm guessing you are using the same template in each case, and you've checked the setting on the template by clicking on the custom button and looking at each tabbed panel?

If you go into optimize in DVDA4, what does it say is wrong with the mpeg? It will typically put an (exclamation) by whatever it has an issue with.

The templet I use is default. I set the quality on high and remove the audio stream. It works just fine if I render the mpeg in vegas 5, or 6, but in 7, using the same settings, it says it has to rerender the file when I put it in dvd4

Is there any reason you don't use one of the DVDA templates?

There's something about the program stream that's getting generated which is causing DVDA4 issues, likely it's the change to the audio buffer size on the system tab - it looks like DVDA may think the bitrate is too high

I suspect you are removing the audio stream by going to the audio tab and clearing the "include audio stream" button. If instead you went to the system tab and checked the "save as seperate streams" button, you wouldn't have this problem.

But, the better solution is what Kelly suggested. Use the templates that were designed, tested and provided specifically for DVDA.
