So, I recently got VMS 9 Platinum Version 9.0b (build 92). I immediately experienced rendering failures after trying to render only a couple minutes of video. Frustrated, I went to these forums and found tons of great info., especially surrounding the 2gb memory gap problem. So, I've gone through all the steps and have saved all the files with the >2g flags etc. etc.
Unfortunately, I am still unable to render even 2 minutes of hd video to wmv., avi., or any other formats.
Here is my set-up:
I have windows 7 - Home premium (64-bit), quad core processor, 8gig ram, 640gb 7200rpm hard drive, + 1 tb external hd where all my video files are, upgraded video card. Should be plenty of hardware.
I am using uncompressed video files, all hd, that are either .wmv or .mp4 files, lots of heavy transitions.
Even after "fixing the 2g memory gap problem" I still crash while rendering even a 2 minute video. Usually makes it to about 75-90%, but I have yet to get it to fully render 100% on any video over ~ 1.5 minutes long. I've even tried dozens and dozens of different rendering settings with no luck. Would love to hear any feedback, thanks
