Still images with video clips.

I've just bought Movie Studio after using Pinnacle Studio 9 for some time. So far I think Movie Studio is better.

Is there a way in which still images can be resized when superimposed on a video clip? I want to create the effect of a still image appearing over a video clip but taking up just part of the frame, say in the centre of the clip, so the moving video continues behind the still image. I suppose it's like the text track where we can put in text, resize it and position it anywhere over the video clip and it appears superimposed whilst the video plays for a duration we set. I want to achieve the same thing only with a still image. Hope I've explained this ok!

This can be done easily in Studio 9 by selecting a background, making this transparent, inserting a still image then resize it.

Hope this can be achieved in Movie Studio.

Thanks

Michael

Sounds like it is even easier in Movie Studio. Put the still image on a video track above the video clip. Right click on it and choose Video Event Pan/Crop... and resize (or rotate) the frame using the handles.

1. add your image in the TExt or Video Overlay Track.
2. Right click on the image, select Video Event Pan/Crop
3. In Pan/Crop box, stretch the crop box to be larger, and your image size will be smaller.
